Freddy Wills's Pick[/][/color:19hplvhu][/size:19hplvhu] Take Wizards +8 3-dime POD (1-5 scale)[/] I'm going with the Wizards with 83% of the public and the line opening at +8.5 the line has actually gone down. I really like this Wizards team to be good this year with a healthy Gilbert Arenas and a healthy Brendan Haywood gives this team two advantages in this game. Caron Butler will match up with Shawn Marion in what will be a solid match up while Nowitski will enjoy life without Antawn Jamison. Expect another one man show night from Nowitski as Josh Howard is out and Dampier is actually questionable. If Dampier doesn't play the Wizards win this game outright, but if he does Mavericks will either win the game at the buzzer or the Wizards will be fouling them late for a chance to make a three to tie.
Take Blazers -9 2-Dime POD Runner up (1-5 scale)[/] With Yao Ming out for the season and McGrady out for half the season and Artest going to LA the Rockets have taken a step back. I believe this leaves too much of a void for the Rockets in the middle on the road against the Blazers who by the end of last year became a very solid home team ATS. Roy and Aldridge will enjoy a very nice night as they have many times before against the Rockets at home. A healthy Greg Oden without Ming in the middle to me means a double double. This could be a great year for the Blazers and it starts on Tuesday.
